Protesters gather for wind farm vote

Help

Around 1,500 anti-wind farm protesters gathered in Welshpool for what was described as an unprecedented meeting of Powys County Council.

It took place at the town's livestock mart rather than County Hall in Llandrindod Wells to allow enough space for concerned residents to watch the debate.

Councillors voted to put all wind farm developments on hold pending a review.
