Jobs are under threat at seafood processing sites in the north east and north of Scotland
The Scottish government has set up a group to look at how to safeguard jobs at factories in Fraserburgh and Grantown on Spey.
More than 900 jobs are under threat at Young's Seafood.
The company said earlier this month that it was looking to restructure after the loss of a major contract to supply salmon to Sainsbury's.
It has entered into a formal consultation with staff on plans to close the factories.
The vast majority of the jobs are in Fraserburgh.
