Man reported for hen harrier death in Aberdeenshire

A man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in relation to wildlife crime after the death of a hen harrier in Aberdeenshire.

The bird was discovered in the Huntly area in June last year.

A 58-year-old man from Aberdeenshire is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

Police Scotland said it was "committed to tackling wildlife crime and eradicating illegal practices".
