Turkey: Syria has broken promises

As Turkey takes a lead in trying to broker a settlement to end the violence in Syria the Turkish ambassador to the UK says President Assad has broken promises.

Speaking on the Andrew Marr Show Unal Cevikoz says President Assad has broken promises to the Arab League and his own people.

He also called on the opposition in Syria to stay united and not to splinter into rival factions.
