Swindon boxer Jamie Cox is to appear in court over an alleged assault in south-west London.

The 2006 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, real name James Russan, was charged following an incident on Lambeth Road, Kennington, on 16 July.

Mr Cox, 28, is charged with common assault, violence to secure entry, harassment and criminal damage.

He has been bailed to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on 14 August.

Mr Cox, who has won all 19 of his professional contests, was crowned WBO European super-middleweight last month.
