Nine traders have been given free pitches courtesy of the council
Temporary shops have been opened for traders following the fire on Eastbourne pier.
A fire destroyed a third of the Victorian structure three weeks ago, with many of the kiosks being put out of business.
They will now be allowed to operate from pop-up shops by the entrance to help recover lost earnings.
Annie Wills, from Eastbourne Borough Council, said the traders will be given a marquee and signage.
She said: "This is a fantastic footfall area on Eastbourne seafront, in a prime location."
The pier's owners said it is hoped part of it could be reopened by Christmas.
