Five Acres Primary School will remain closed all day
A burst water main has forced a primary school in Oxfordshire to close and left homes and businesses without water.
Thames Water said it was bringing in supplies until the PVC pipe in Ploughley Road, Ambrosden, near Bicester, is repaired by engineers.
Five Acres Primary School will remain closed for the day.
The problem is causing traffic delays with temporary lights on Ploughley Road at Willow Road and West Hawthorn Road.
No properties have been flooded.
Thames Water apologised to customers in the HP18 and OX25 area who have been affected.
Company spokesman Martin Wells said it hoped to restore the water supply to Ambrosden by the end of the day.
"We have a large team of engineers on site - they've made headway on restoring supplies to a number of properties," he added.
The cause of the burst is under investigation.
