Liverpool ticket scam: Two charged with conspiracy to commit fraud

Police said some fans were turned away at Anfield's turnstiles for having counterfeit tickets

Two men from Anfield have been charged over an alleged ticket forging operation for Liverpool FC matches.

Police launched an investigation after fans from all over the world never received tickets bought online, while others received fake ones.

Craig O'Donaghue, 29, of Dewsbury Road and Paul Murgatroyd, 27, of Breck Road, are charged with conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.

Both men are due at South Sefton Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
