Puppet of giant girl tours Liverpool in 'Sea Odyssey'
The Sea Odyssey spectacular, which tells the story of a little girl whose father was killed on board the Titanic, is taking place in Liverpool over three days.
The little girl is a 30ft (9m) tall wooden puppet, accompanied by her dog Xolo.
The puppet "woke up" and took a shower in Stanley Park on Friday morning.
Her eyes are made from street lights and her eyelashes from broom bristles.
The puppets have been created by Nantes-based French company Royal De Luxe.
More than 250,000 people are expected to watch the free event over the weekend.
The little girl will travel through Liverpool before meeting up with her uncle on Sunday.
Her uncle, a 50ft (15m) puppet, emerged from Salthouse Dock on Friday.
The puppets will roam across the city separately over the weekend, covering a distance of 23 miles (37km).
The uncle and the little girl will meet up on Saturday night and sail down the River Mersey together on Sunday.
