Marc Ashdown reports on the moment a north London pavement erupted into flames ''without warning''
Fifty people were evacuated from a shopping street in north London after a pavement burst into flames.
The fire, outside a supermarket in Caledonian Road, Islington, was caused by an electrical fault under a manhole cover.
London Fire Brigade said crews arrived within four minutes and quickly put the fire out. No-one was injured.
A spokesman said the brigade attends about 50 such incidents every year in London.
