An inquiry has begun after the body of a man was found in a residential area in south-west London.
Police were called to Portman Avenue in Mortlake at about 07:55 BST on Sunday after the discovery of the body.
One line of inquiry for officers is whether the unidentified man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was a stowaway who fell from a passing plane.
Mortlake lies on the Heathrow flight path. The death is being treated as unexplained by police.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
