In pictures: New public square at London's King's Cross
Plans to develop London's newest public square at King's Cross station have been unveiled by Network Rail.
The new square, due to completed by 2013, will be twice the size of Leicester Square and will reveal the Grade I listed Victorian station's facade for the first time in almost 150 years.
An international design competition was held for the redevelopment of the King's Cross square that attracted more than 100 entries from around the world.
The competition was won by architects Stanton Williams and their designs will be on display to the public at King’s Cross station until 26 July.
King's Cross station is being redeveloped both internally and externally. A new concourse, waiting areas and shopping arcades are scheduled to be ready in time for the Olympic Games in 2012.
