The mayor of Bridlington has had his gold chain of office stolen.
Humberside Police said the chain, which is estimated to be worth £15,000, was taken in a burglary at the home of Mayor Michael Charlesworth.
Police said the chain was in a safe which was taken from the house sometime over the weekend.
A laptop and a Salvation Army charity collection box were also stolen, along with Mr Charlesworth's late wife's engagement and wedding rings.
