A plane crashed to the ground and skidded to a halt because the pilot misjudged the landing, a report said.

The EV-97 Teameurostar suffered wing and propeller damage in the accident at Croft Farm near Defford, Worcestershire, on 25 June.

An Air Accidents Investigation Branch report, external said the aircraft clipped a field of crop about 60ft (18m) before the start of the runway.

The 65-year-old pilot and a single passenger were not injured.
