The death of a 15-year-old boy who drowned in the River Arrow was an accident, an inquest has concluded.
Richard Fellows got into trouble while swimming in open water with friends near Arrow Valley Park, Redditch, Worcestershire, in March.
His friends did everything they could to save him, the inquest heard.
Recording her verdict, Worcestershire's assistant coroner Marguerite Elcock said there was "nothing unusual" in how the Redditch teenager died.
She told the hearing in Stourport that there was nothing "suspicious" following the death of the Trinity High School pupil.
