Drain covers worth about £18,000 that were stolen from the Stourport area of Worcestershire have been recovered, police have said.
Fifty cast iron grates were taken from streets including Broach Road, Britannia Gardens and Discovery Road.
Police said there were sightings in that area of a white van in "suspicious circumstances" on Wednesday.
Officers found the drain covers at a commercial premises on the Holbrook industrial estate on Friday.
Police have said investigations are ongoing and a number of lines of inquiry are being followed.
Wyre Forest District Insp Paul Crowley, who was involved in an initiative to raise awareness of how to identify stolen metal and deter thefts, said: "Apart from the cost of replacing these drain covers, the theft of so many obviously led to safety concerns for road users."
