The cold weather has led to a homeless shelter opening two weeks earlier than scheduled.
The Open Door project, at St Peter's Church hall, in Hereford, usually operates over the Christmas period.
But its doors will be open on Wednesday for rough sleepers to get some food and and a bed.
The Reverend Jonathan Cooke said he and his team of volunteers wanted to do anything they could to help people during the freezing conditions.
