There were several accidents on rural Isle of Wight roads on Monday

A number of schools across the county and the Isle of Wight were closed on Monday.
Some afternoon Wightlink catamaran sailings between Portsmouth and Ryde were cancelled.
Island Line operated a reduced train service on the island due to treacherous conditions earlier.
Services were only operating between Ryde Pier and Ryde Esplanade , with minibus and taxi services put in place to transport passengers travelling elsewhere.
