The winter vomiting bug has forced the closure of two more wards at Southampton General Hospital.
Nine wards have now been shut to new admissions in the 1,200-bed hospital as a precaution following earlier outbreaks of the sickness bug.
On Wednesday seven wards were shut, resulting in the loss of 30 beds.
The hospital has asked visitors, especially schoolchildren, to stay away to stop the spread of the winter virus.
It also advised people not to visit if they have had any sickness or diarrhoea symptoms in the past 48 hours.
The highly contagious virus causes nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Visiting also remains restricted to one hour a day between 18:30 and 19:30 GMT at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital after an outbreak of the virus.
