The Coventry Half Marathon took place on Sunday, 2 October with 1,348 runners completing the 13.1-mile course that started and finished in the city centre.
With runners warned about the unseasonably warm conditions, the race got underway at about 09:40 BST in Hales Street next to the Coventry Transport Museum.
The race was won by 55-year-old Garry Payne from Nuneaton. The athlete from George Elliott Striders, who came home in a time of 1:17'25", said he "never dreamt" he could win the event.
Mr Payne added: "The weather was never going to be a problem for me - it was the age gap." The first woman home was Nicki Nealon from Huncote Harriers AC. Ms Nealon finished 11th overall in a time of 1:22'50".
Many of those taking part were running for charity, with several dressing up in a variety of costumes. BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Shane O'Connor kept spectators entertained during the race.
