Gordon Ramsay was caught speeding on the A30 in Cornwall
Gordon Ramsay has been fined £500 for driving at 70mph in a 40mph zone.
The celebrity chef pleaded guilty to breaking the limit in a Land Rover travelling over Bodmin Moor in Cornwall.
Ramsay, 49, of Spencer Park, London, did not attend court. He was given six penalty points and ordered to pay costs of £85 by Bodmin Magistrates on Wednesday.
The chef has a £4.4m house in the nearby coastal village of Rock.
Ramsay was caught out on 23 March on the A30, where there is a temporary 40mph limit in place while the road is expanded from one lane to two.
The multi-Michelin starred chef owns a string of restaurants around the world and is the star of television shows in the UK and the US.
A spokesman for Ramsay declined to comment on the case.
