Two men have been arrested after two walkers were killed on a Cornwall road.
Police said the bodies of a man and a woman, both 51, were found between Chiverton Cross and St Agnes in the early hours of Sunday.
Officers found a damaged white S4 Audi estate on the B3277 and the bodies of the two walkers nearby.
Two men, aged 26 and 27, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of these two people, and we are keeping an open mind.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, especially if you saw either of the two walkers on the road from St Agnes towards the A30 prior to the collision or a white S4 Audi Estate during this time."
Police said one of the men was arrested at the scene, with the other arrested elsewhere.
