Wolverhampton emergency shelter opens as rough sleeper talks about his life
An emergency night shelter has opened in Wolverhampton, a month after a rough sleeper died from hypothermia.
Hayley, as she was known, was found in a shop doorway.
Her death prompted a campaign for a night shelter which is due to open on 22 February.
The shelter, at The Church in Broad Street, has camp beds for 20 people, and will be run by a team of 40 volunteers.
One rough sleeper called Nigel, described his life on the streets.
