In pictures: Rhythms of the World 2011
Organisers of a Hertfordshire music festival say this years event was the "best yet".
Thousands attended the Rhythms of the World Festival at Hitchin Priory on the 9 and 10 July.
Now in its 20th year, the two-day event claims to be one of the largest celebrations of world music in the country.
More than 140 bands, musicians and entertainers performed at this year's festival with acts from India, Cuba, Australia, Congo, China, Senegal, Singapore and Germany taking part.
The Swan Vesta Social Club from St Albans entertained the crowds on the main stage.
The BBC Introducing… stage once again showcased the best in local unsigned talent from across Beds, Herts and Bucks.
Hertfordshire's Safari performed live on the BBC Introducing... stage.
Tonight We're Electric from Bedfordshire performed live.
The band performed a 30 minute set for the crowd.
Hitchin's Echo Lake took to the stage to perform to their home crowd.
Blonde Louis headlined the BBC Introducing... stage on Saturday night.
"We are so lucky that Rhythms of the World invites us back each year to host one of the most exciting stages at the festival," said BBC Introducing… presenter Gareth Lloyd.
