'No place for vigilantism' in London, Met Police says

The Metropolitan Police's Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stephen Kavanagh said there was "no place for vigilantism" in London.

The officer's comments came after residents in Enfield, Eltham, Hackney and Southall came out on the streets to guard businesses and places of worship following riots and disorder across the city.
