A former soldier who stole medals from comrades who were fighting in Afghanistan has been jailed for three years.

Simon Rogers, 29, from Apethorpe, near Oundle, Northamptonshire, admitted taking the medals and selling them on the internet.

Rogers, who was described as an "exceptional soldier", also admitted possessing hundreds of weapons, including hand-fired rockets, which were found during a raid at his home.
