Scottish independence: Alex Salmond's 'vision'

Scottish first minister Alex Salmond has launched his government's independence blueprint, calling it a "mission statement" for the future. The 670-page White Paper promised a "revolution" in social policy, with childcare at its heart.

In a wide-ranging and in-depth interview with Newsnight's Kirsty Wark, Mr Salmond discusses currency union, the removal of Trident nuclear missiles, and EU membership, and sets out his vision for an independent Scotland.
