Trevor Brooking opens doors to English FA new training centre
As the new Premier League season begins, hopes are high that the new National Football Centre will produce more top-quality English players.
The Football Association's £100m St George's Park near Burton-on-Trent will be a training base for England's 24 different teams and is intended to become the home of English football development by boosting the number of quality coaches and homegrown managers.
Director of football development Sir Trevor Brooking predicted that the facility would bear fruit in five years, and gave the BBC's Mike Bushell a tour of the complex.
