Armed forces honoured for their bravery and courage

Servicemen and women from across the armed forces have been honoured for their bravery and courage.

Most of the 140 awards, including 16 Military Crosses, were earned by those serving in Afghanistan last winter.

They have been praised as representing "role models for their generation".
