The least festive town in the UK?

Many people are planning a leaner Christmas this year, with the usual celebrations but on a slightly smaller scale.

Even relatively affluent areas are making savings - the council in Chichester, in West Sussex, has decided there's not enough money to pay for any Christmas lights.
