Should children be banned from buying violent games?

The US Supreme Court of Justice has been deciding whether children should be stopped from buying violent video games that involve murders and sexual assault.

Five years ago, California's then-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into state law the Violent Video Games Act. It defines violence in games as 'killing, maiming, dismembering or sexually assaulting an image of a human being' and bans the sales of such games to the under 18s.

BBC Radio 5 live Up All Night's Rhod Sharp spoke to Stephen Totillo from the games news website Kotaku. He explains the significance of the case.
