Claudia Aderotimi had silicone injections given to her in her hotel room

The Hampton Inn Hotel stands tall off the industrial highway in south-west Philadelphia.

Its trademark beige body with red lettering adds a dash of colour to the plain looking estate.

Claudia Aderotimi, a student who lived in Hackney in north London, stayed in room number 425 with 3 of her friends.

On Monday she was given silicone injections in her buttocks, in her hotel room, but by early on Tuesday morning, Claudia was dead.

Shortly after the procedure, Claudia started getting chest pains and was rushed to a local hospital.

The exact cause of her death is still to be determined.

'Budget hotel'

Today there were no press outside the Hampton and those staying there were comfortably tucking into their muffins near reception.

Daily life at the budget hotel was continuing as normal.

But a few miles downtown Claudia's story is well known - and women especially have something to say about it.

Cierra Bullock is 24 years old and read about what happened in the paper.

"I would never consider having something like that done.

"Number one I can't afford it and number two, it's not worth it because when you get old that still will be new." she said.

It's claimed the student from Hackney aspired to be a top hip-hop dancer - and starred in music videos, but wasn't happy with her bum and wanted it to be fuller and curvier.

Darrell Wescott is 25 years old. He told Newsbeat he produces hip-hop and works with various artists.

He says he understands the image of the music scene carries a strong sexual identity.

"In the hip-hop scene they're advertising this is how you should look so they do get a bad rep for it.

"It really needs to be changed though," he added.
