Whitney Houston's grave in New Jersey has been marked by the lyrics to the Grammy Award-winning song I Will Always Love You.

The 48-year-old, who died on 11 February 2012, drowned accidently in a hotel bath in Los Angeles due to cocaine use and heart failure.

Her teardrop-shaped headstone also included the words "the voice" engraved under an image of the singer.

She has been buried next to her father, John Russell, who died in 2003.

Houston's recording of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was played at her funeral service in the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.

The six-time Grammy-winning singer was found underwater and unconscious in her hotel room in Beverly Hills the night before the Grammy Awards.

The coroner's report said the star, who sold more than 170 million records worldwide, had been a "chronic" cocaine user.
