Garland Jeffreys: The return of political rock
The singer Garland Jeffreys had a string of hits in the 1980s and his new album takes on a strongly political tone.
On his way back from the Montreux Jazz Festival he performed Coney Island Winter on the Andrew Marr Show. He will be appearing on London's Jazz Cafe on 7 October.
