5 live: BAA boss denies Heathrow is under-prepared

The Chief Executive of BAA, which operates Heathrow, has refuted allegations that the airport has not invested in enough snow clearing equipment.

Speaking on 5 live Breakfast, Colin Matthews told Nicky Campbell there was a "horrible situation" on Monday and he is "really sorry".

The BAA boss goes on to deny that Heathrow is under-prepared for bad conditions.

"The last two weeks of weather have not been seen in Heathrow before."
