'Touring in the Trees' is a ring of 11 small touring sites located so they can be used as bases from which to explore the forest areas. Visitors can purchase a permit giving the freedom of all 11 sites.

Castlewellan is located just an hour's drive south of Belfast. Four miles drive from Newcastle, County Down.
Opening times:
The forest and Arboretum are open every day of the year from 10am until sunset.
