Hickling National Nature Reserve has a great circular walk with hides, and an observation hut with wonderful views of a wide variety of wildlife from Barn Owls to Marsh Harriers. |  |  | The British Isles was once a wet, marshy place. The best time is mid February to mid March - but only when the temperature is above 10 degrees or there's a warm sun.
The Water Trail runs from mid-May to mid-September, and leads visitors through the backwaters of the Broad - it also provides access to the Tree Tower hide (additional charge).
