Registration and logging in
To register for the site, if you've not registered on bbc.co.uk before, will mean you'll have to choose a member name. Member names will be 'failed' if they:
Contain website names, email addresses, or personal contact information, for instance phone numbers or postcodes
Appear to impersonate someone else
Contain swear words or are otherwise objectionable
Contributions
Recollections and conversations about works
Recollections on the site should be constructive, illuminating and foster positive debate. Therefore:
Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, racially offensive, sexually oriented or otherwise objectionable comments are not acceptable.
We reserve the right to fail contributions which:
Are likely to disrupt, provoke, attack or offend others
Break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity. This includes breach of copyright, defamation and contempt of court
A Note on copyright

By contributing your recollections and comments to the My Science Fiction Life website, you grant the BBC non-exclusive rights to publish your contribution in any media, now and in the future. This means that you remain free to take your contribution and use it elsewhere.
Posts which plagiarise copyrighted material will be removed. You must not post anything which you do not have the right to distribute electronically. You may not violate or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, privacy, personal, publicity or proprietary rights.
What happens if I break the House Rules?
If you fail to abide by the House Rules, in the first instance you will be formally warned by email of why your contribution has failed. Anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaks the rules may be banned from some or all bbc.co.uk Communities.
Further Conditions
Action will be taken against anyone abusing the complaints system or technical infastructure
Under 16s must get permission from a parent or guardian before contributing to a BBC website
Special rules may apply during elections, war or other exceptional circumstances
