John Etheridge, a fine guitarist in his own right, and a former member of progressive jazz/rock fusion band Soft Machine, talks us through the jazz guitar lineage from Django Reinhardt, through Charlie Christian and T Bone Walker to today. Unfortunately Wes Montgomery, a vital part of that chain, didn't make the final cut, so here he is. Sorry Wes.
