Bonnaroo 2006. First time I ever saw them live. Waited five hours in the hot Tennessee sun to get a good spot. It seemed like I waited forever, but once the lights went dark and I heard the first few seconds of There There I knew it was worth every second in the sun. And the glow sticks being thrown around during House of Cards was just magic. One of the most beautiful nights of my life. I'll never forget it.

Wellington NZ 1998?97? OK computer tour. Jumping up and down at the back. First concert with the woman I later married and guy who was my best man.

South Park for me too. Everyone there was blown away by the performance Even non-Radiohead-loving mates. Seen them at Glastonbury 2003 too. Karma Police that time was unforgettable. I'm covered in goosebumps thinking about it now 5 years on.

The evening performance at BBC Radio Theatre. Intro to All I Need almost had me crying - listening back now and I can feel the tears welling up.Rekoner a definite high point in the set for me (The Tourist was fantastic though).

Seeing them for the first time ever at V festival 2006the feelings inside were so massive as I have only met one other person who is more of a Radiohead fan than me, and that was at that gig, he had just flown in from seeing them at the Bonaroo festival in America. Just feeling the music and watching all of their so very different stage presences made that the best gig I have ever been too. I cannot wait until the 29th of June when ill get to see them again =D
Matt Sampson
Early 90s at Leicester Uni. Just Thom and Jonny onstage.
Luce
In front of Santa Croce on a still evening in Florence, 2000. We were all spellbound - what a fantastic night :)

my brother (massive radiohead fan) persuaded me to go and see them at V festival...wasn't keen as had always thought they were a bit 'depressing' (i know, i know)...after about 30 seconds i turned to him with tears in my eyes and my jaw scraping the floor...absolutely the most amazing band i've ever seen live, and there have been many...i literally couldn't speak for hours afterwards...roll on vicky park and paris, yeay!

Saw them in San Jose in California; this was a surprise for me as I didn’t know I was going to see them. I flew into San Francisco that morning and was told by the girl I was seeing at the time not to be late, "I am not flying the plane, so I cannot control that" I told her before I left the UK. She told me to make sure.I didn’t know where I was going until I walked over the brow of the hill into the San Jose amphitheatre. You can imagine my excitement when I saw RADIOHEAD in big letter above the turnstiles to get in. We were sat at the back on a grass verge and the stage was very far away so the band was only small but they had big screens. The sound was the best part about the gig. Radiohead produce such great music.

Het Paard, Den Haag 1993 or 94. Small club, 50 people, amazing performance. Brilliant.

The best gig, let alone radiohead gig I have seen was at Glastonbury 1997. The weather was awful and the band's monitor speakers weren't working but they still had the audience eating out of the palm of their hands. It must have been the longest time I have seen a glasto crowd staying so long for more encores. I think everyone would have paid a fortune to hear just one more song A Truely amazing experience!

Saw another review mention this but Nimes Arena, a roman amphitheatre, 2003. Talk Show Host playing with the moon rising above the far wall of the Arena. Also Paranoid Android being so loud in the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh it nearly ripped the roof off !
Brodieman
My fav Radiohead gig and by far the best show I have been to was seeing them headling the Sziget festival in Budapest 2006, awesome set list and an amazing performance that never seemed to end. The highlight of my 3 months of travelling around Europe.
Kieran
Oxford Apollo gig in 1995 just prior to The Bends release. Amazing gig with support from Supergrass and the Candyskins to top off an all Oxford affair! Tent Tour at Victoria park brilliant and the South Parks gig even better. I remember them playing Paranoid Android and the line "Rain down on me..." and so it did just that!
Kk
first time i saw them live was at 93 feet east. right at the front. no barriers and no security between the crowd and the stage. could not get any closer. it was simply stunning, best live gig i will ever go to probably (although i'm seeing them in summer and that might come close). met thom as well before the gig, and got his pick after the gig. best night of my life
Saw
Blossom Music Center, Cleveland, OH 2003...Amazing sounds, sights and crowd!!!
Cathal
Dublin, Marlay Park, 2006....the audience reaction to the 'I float down the Liffy' line in How To Disappear Completely. Amazing!
Gareth
Glasgow Barrowlands, the Bends Tour in 1995 opening with My Iron Lung and finishing with Nobody Does It Better. That, and Edinburgh Corn Exchange in 2003 for the Hail To The Thief warm-up tour; an amazing version of Punchup at a Wedding.Absolute genius.

My favourite Radiohead gig was undoubtably The YMCA Chemlmsford, inbetween the re-release of Creep and the release of Pablo Honey. Went with my brother, Paul and half a dozen Newcastle Brown's. (It was too crowded to get the bar so we frontloaded the order). There was no stage to speak of, just a few theatrical flats; so crowd control consisited of us linking arms mere inches in front of the band. Fantastic atmosphere, fabulous band, great gig, fond memories. Oh and a poster with a personalised message from Thom, it doesn't get much better than that....
Matthew Allen
Nimes arena 2003. roman ampitheater. they came, they played, they conquered. just the perfect gig. they even timed sail to the moon to coincide with the full moon rising over the top of arena wall. i was the geezer at the back with the greenpeace flag i got two weeks earlier at glasto
Daniel Brown
The best music experience of my life, was watching Radiohead play the Coachella Festival in Palm Springs in 2004. They came on after the Pixies and as the sun set over the palm trees, 67,999 Americans and me stood in transfixed awe as the band went through their whole beautiful repertoire.
Martin Baldock
Seen them 4 times so far, firstly supporting REM at the Milton Keynes Bowl after The Bends was released, then at the Doncaster Bowl on the OK Computer tour, thirdly during the "tent tour" in a park in London, the fourth time at Nottingham Arena. Each performance was memorable for different reasons. They are a band who never cease to amaze playing live, they are compelling, for want of a better word. I'm looking forward to Manchester in June so much!

2006 hammersmith apollo. i'm only 17 so that was the first time i've managed to see them, but if i could i would go back in time and see them every gig. Hearing street spirit live.. heartbreaking, moved and melted me. i will never forget it

July 2002 - was on holiday in the Algarve and saw a flyer that they were playing in Lisbon 2002 - Spent 2 nights in Lisbon and got 2 tickets (the wifes first time) - Happy Days! Ended with Thom Yorke playing football with the Portuguese crowd. So many memorable tracks but Stand Up Sit Down (from the then new album Hail to the Thief) - an amazing track live.
Mike
i 've been lucky enough to see them several times but South Park was incredible. You could see they were nervous at the start - their only UK gig that year and in their home city - especially when Colin's bass played up during Airbag. They went on to play a defining set that was utterly spellbinding and that finally seemed to bring a warmth to the Kid A material, bridging a gap between the old and the new. I've seen a lot of bands in my time but they are quite simply the benchmark for greatness. Nobody else comes remotely close.
Jason & Michelle Sharman
without doubt Royal Festival Hall July 2000, the most amazing night of our lives! Robbie Williams was in the crowd and had to watch the real master at work!
JULES
Staanding in a football ground, Meadowbank, being crushed again the barrier but NOT CARING because I was about ten feet from Thom!!! Awsome
Andrew T
Newport on the first night of the Kid A 'big top' tour in 2000 - partially special as it was my first ever gig, especially special as it was Radiohead. Bones was glorious, as was Talk Show Host and Idioteque.

glastonbury 97, remember it particularly well as I was kicked in the head by a female who had fainted and was being carried off to the front if the stage, she woke up panicked lashed out and I got a black eye and lost my specs, still worth it though, best gig ever despite it pissing it down and tech problems. I was numb at the end of it in agood way.

My favourite memory of Radiohead live must be when they played Morning Bell in Lisbon 2002. As soon as the song started, the audience joined in by clapping their hands in sort of double-time - creating like a flamenco feel to the song. My description makes it sound quite lame, but it was an incredible accompanyment to the song. Thom and the band picked up on it immediately. Thom even extended the middle part of the song to include the clapping. I remember looking round the audience to see everyone clapping to the same beat. Everyone participated, no one stopped - it made for a wonderful version. I also remember Thom saying 'We should have done that when we recorded it'.Sometimes, when the song is played live, I see other fans trying to recreate the same feeling - with no success unfortunately. Luckily I have it on bootleg cd so I can close my eyes and relive the feeling!I hope that in Barcelona this year it can be recreated!

for no reason other than the timing, Belfast Sept 2001. 4 days after 9/11. That was trippy ...
Adrian Lunn
Wembley 1997 I think. Cut my hand jumping an alluminium fence to save walking round the car park. Just made it back in time from hospital to see the best gig Ine ever seen and theres been a few. OK Computer tour I think
Richard Surbey
Saw them at Cambridge Junction supporting the Frank & Walters one week then bought tickets just to see them suppporting Kingmaker 2 weeks later, We all knew they'd be big even from these early shows!!
Belisha Beacon
South Park for me - Talk Show Host and Creep in the Rain. Ended up getting very wet, stuck in Oxford Bus Station with my brother and had to get a lift from some guy from Oklahoma's dad to my mates place in High Wycombe. He had also bought a load of t-shirts so had something warm to change into. The gig guardian angel was looking out for us in the end. I didnt mind the wet and the cold as was the best gig ever. Seem to remember Thom starting to play something else on the piano, then said "Das ist Kapputt" (I think) and then broke out into Creep!
NW
Watched the band perform OK Computer stuff on the Circus Tent tour in Holland when visiting a mate in Rotterdam. Spellbinding performance and amazing support from Sigur Ros, very memorable evening
Mark B, Torquay
11/9/97 Plymouth Pavilions. Thom on guitar during Talk Show Host. Great!

V Festival....pouring down with rain and met the most beautiful girl who was the biggest Radiohead fan ever....danced the night away...never saw her again.
brizep
birmingham n.e.c, about a decade ago. supported by dj shadow and teenage fanclub. a long set, virtually all of Ok computer and the bends. radiohead were very good indeed.one of the 2 or 3 best shows i've seen....so far
Chris Gemson
University Of Glamorgan - Shafts Nightclub 1993 (I think). Very lucky to see them with only about another 100 people in a rather empty gig. Fantastic performance. I went because I liked "Anyone can play guitar". Most of the stuff were Pablo Honey tracks from memory. It was a great gig and Thom threatened to use his Docs on some rather excited moshers who were pushing each other around at the front of the stage. Not sure if I'll ever be able to top that one.
Andy Stevenson
Only seen them once in Warrington in 2000, the day before Kid A was released. They opened with 'The National Anthem' and it was utterly incredible. Thom even smiled as he walked out onto stage. The highlight that night was 'Lucky'...a total masterpiece. They were amazing, but I was willing them to play 'Fake Plastic Trees' which they didn't ;-(
This Charming Man
It has to be Nimes 14th July 2003, marvelous Roman ampitheatre, Bastile Day, glorious sunny day preceeding a full moon night, perfect audience, immense performance, Thom sang "After the goldrush" ...... a concert to remember for the rest of my life.
John Gordon
I agree with David Nicholls above - the Royal Festival Hall gig was the best I have ever seen, in particular all the songs they played
Guy
Manchester Apollo 1996. I think it was supposed to be a fan club only show but I just got my ticket from the box office. I still have the stubb which I keep inside one of their old singles from around that time. They only had two albums out at this time so they seemed to use the concert as a chance to test out some of their newer songs, songs which would later appear on OK Computer. I have a feeling they played Lift, definitely an early version of Paranoid Android too. Even though nobody knew the songs you could just tell they they were amazing.

It was in 1992 or possibly 93. It was The Old Gaol leisure centre in Abingdon, support from Dodgy. It was a benefit for charity. I wasn't sure whether to go or not cos I'd only heard 'Creep' before (on a cassette attached to a magazine, Q possibly).Been a fan ever since and seen them loads of times but that night will live forever.
Stevie Hill
Saw them the last night in the tent in London's Victoria Park a few years back, that gig is up there with all the other gigs I've been too-top drawer!Went to Glastonbury 2003, specifically to see them again, ended up watching The Damned. I'm sure that Thom would understand! That said, I'll be back in Tower Hamlets in June which should be an ideal send-off for this years Glastonbury, thats if I get tickets of course!!!!

I went to Glastonbury festival in 2003, I'm part of Festival Medical services the charity which supplies the medical service there. Radiohead were headlining on the saturday night and i was due my baby the following monday, but I was so desparate to see them I still went. When the music started on the friday afternoon, my waters broke and I went off to hospital. I had my baby in the early hours of saturday morning. I watched radiohead from my hospital bed with my new baby son beside me and cried..from the emotion of having him but also for having missed seeing Radiohead. I still haven't seen them but one day i'll take my son and we'll watch them together.

opening the set with Talk Show Host in the Roman theatre at Arles, June 2000 - first show after the excrutiating wait after OK Computer
Smithy
Favourite memories - 2 brilliant nights at Blackpool in 2006, I was within touching distance of the band for both nights. And also the live performance of The National Anthem on Later with Jools in 2001, one of the best live performances of any song by any band I've ever seen.
Daniel Parsons
I have now seen Radiohead over a dozen times but the best of all these gigs was way back in November 1994 @ The Brixton Academy. They came on stage to Street Spirit. To start there was just one light on the stage and as the song went through all its stages the lights came up revealing all the band. It was such a great gig. Full of energy and power. After encoring all their songs at the time they came back on to play the cover of Nobody Does It Better. Irony and true. Love them ...
David Nicholls
July 2000 at the Royal Festival Hall - the British debut of most of Kid A, and an amazing performance - I doubt I'll ever see a better concert.
Stuart
Has to be Milton Keynes Bowl sometime in the early 90s. They were supporting REM and Sleeper and Cranberries were on the bill to. Blew REM away. Will always remember Creep: Thom's soaring voice towards the end of the song. Stunning.
Tom Green
August 1, 2001...Hutchinson Field in Chicago...To this day, Radiohead have mentioned this as being one of their favorite shows. Being outside on Lake Michigan, the temperature was about 90 F in the evening and no breeze in sight. A huge crowd, after watching Beta Band open, saw a brilliant show. The best part was how the moon started to the band's left (over the lake) as the show began. As the show went on, the moon moved toward the Field Museum directly in front of them. At that point was when Thom sang "Sail to the Moon". Great night!

In the mosh pit , Earls Court, 2+2=5, jumping around like a looney, when I remembered I had ingrowing toenail...ouch
Jon the skull
Glastonbury 1997, I wasn't at all convinced about OK Computer, having heard it a couple of times, how was it ever going to live up to the Bends?! Well the rest is history.
Halo dee
I'll add another vote for the South Park gig in Oxford. The biblical downpour for the final encore of how to disappear..., talk show host and creep just added to the unforgettable atmosphere.
Steve Hamley
Saw them at he Wolves Civic Hall on a warm up to the V festival, was blown away by the musical dexterity of the whole band, Thom palyed at least 3 different intruments during the gig. The gig itself was a mixture of highs and more highs with the new and the old. Also just got confirmation that I have been allocated 2 tickets for the 6 Music gig in London next week, Im so made up cant wait to get up close.

2003 was my first year at Glastonbury and my first experience of the mighty Radiohead live. What can I say, it was predicted that over 100,000 people were in at the main stage to see them. The build up atmosphere was electric, I felt like a child on Xmas day waiting to open presents! An awsesome set that I will never forget, particularly with Thom coming back on after the encore to continue his acoustic of Karma Police.
Michael Hughes
The V festival in Staffordshire when Radiohead headlined in 2006 was immense. We all thought they wouldn't do it; when Thom and Co suprised us all with a rendition of Creep which blew everybody away. Great memories from the greatest band ever.
John Smith
Standing in a crowd in Glasgow in 2000 waiting for them to come on stage 2 weeks before Kid A was released and they opened with Everything In It's Right Place...........spellbinding. Utterly glorious gig.

Strasbourg France 11.05.1995Very small audienceroom, about 1000 pers. maybe.I "played" guitar like anyone on thom's guitar that night. That was my firdt gig alone with friends (I was 17) the band's coach was parked in front of the concert room that morning and we've met each of them. The show was very long and it is still my best live memory. They played Lucky as it was already recorded that year for the HELP! record, I thaught that was their best song.Since so many song from them deserve the same award!!I was on the first line and I lost conscience at the end of the show while the band was finishing stop whispering.
Shaun Mackenzie
By far the best live experiece I've had of Radiohead was at the Southpark Festival in Oxford. Not only was the whole thing Radiohead organised, but the line up was amazing, and the energy when the main attraction hit the stage was unforgettable. The crowd was so chilled, and the set list was perfect. When Thom started to play 'Motion Picture Soundtrack' only to stop short and pronounce (it iz kaput!) before the band rolled into 'Creep' for the first time in a long time... One of the most perfect gigs I've been to.
FI OAKES
being at the empress balroom on the ok computer tour. and seeing jonnys glokenspiel hammers come to peices and ever the pro carried on regardless..
