Formed in 1972, Boghall and Bathgate have been a top Grade One band for over 30 years. Currently under the musical direction of Pipe Major Ross Walker and Leading Drummer Gordon Brown, the organisation prides itself on teaching youngsters in piping and drumming and have two Juvenile bands competing at the Worlds. The senior band performs at the very highest level in pipe band competition and has consistently featured in the top six at this level for the past 30 years.

The 2010 season saw the Grade One band runners up in both the Scottish and British Championships, 3rd in the Europeans, 4th in the World Championships and 1st at the final major championship of the year – the Cowal games in Dunoon.
