Sarah, Northampton
I am travelling down with my best friend who has never been to a concert before in his life! What better occasion for him to see his first live performances? The main reason why I am so excited about this is because of the awareness its brought to millions of people across the globe of the extreme and needless poverty in Africa. We really can make a difference. This is a once in a generation experience, and I want to be able to tell my kids when Im older how I helped ever so slightly to make a change. (just a little nervous about being in a crowd of 250,000 people!)

Em, Lincoln
Wicked, my hubby won tickets to the best event ever staged! The whole weekend in a fantastic city. All in an amazing cause..x

Dave, Bedford
I was lucky enough to win tickets and can't wait! It should be a great day, and hopefully the politicians will take notice. For those living abroad who can't watch Live 8 on television, then make sure you tune in on the internet via BBC radio.

Hayley, Sheffield
Didn't win any tickets, am going to watch it on the big screen at Leeds- Millennium Square. People have turned their noses up when I've told them this & asked why bother when I could just watch it at home. I'm going because it's a far better way to spend my day and on the offchance they show how many people have turned up around the country to watch and show their support. If being there just like hopefully thousands of others shows politicians that people who haven't won tickets still care enough to do something when things haven't been made easy for them and urges them to do the same then it'll be more than worth it.

Marie, Cumbria
I'm so glad to have found somewhere i can share my EXCITEMENT!!!!! i think my family are bored of me going on about it! i won tickets and i am taking my good friend, i cant believe it! it will be an absolutely fantastic memorable day. Does anyone know if the us concert is being shown in hyde park afterwards?? i am most looking forward to seeing Paul McCartney, U2, The Killers, Razorlight, Scissor Sisters, Robbie! All of them really! i am so excited, not long now! im frightened to even touch my tickets incase i rip them-they are like gold dust after all! We are also heading to hyde park early to soak up the atmosphere! Have Fun everyone!x

DAVE LOVERING
My overwhelming joy at being successful in the Live 8 ticket ballot has been tempered by my choice of partner! I have an awful moral dilemma; which one of my 4 lovely children (who ALL want to go to this once-in-a-lifetime Event) do I take?! A VERY confused parent! Advice greatfuully received...

Jen, Barton Le Clay, Beds
I just found out yesterday (Tuesday 28th) that I had won tickets in one of the bbc online competitions and I have never been so excited!! I was jumping round the office like a loon! Now I have to decide who to take! Thank you so much BBC and thank you Sir Bob for I'm sure what is going to be one of the best days of my life.

Marc, Dordrecht, Holland
My very very very good friend Darren in the UK won tickets and invited me over to see my all time favorites Pink Floyd with him. I couldn't help pinking away a tear of happiness. I will be there!! Hope the show will have the same impact on the world leaders!

Kate Morgan, Salisbury xxxxx
I gave one of my tickets to my Dad for Father's Day...the look on his face was brill! I am so so excited and will buzzing with excitment! I cant wait for it - only problem was deciding who to bring - that is a big dilema. Cant wait to see Coldplay as i didn't get to Glastonbury this year. I could not believe that I won tickets - it is gonna be a day to rememeber forever i think!!!

David, Torquay
A lucky month for me! 1000 quid in a local lottery and then two tickets won for live8 ! can't wait- travelling from torquay - train booked, hotel booked a storming day at the concert continuing into the early hours in Soho - no doubt!

Anna Hill
We are holding a party for friends and neighbours... we will have a big screen to show Live 8... celebrating the unity and hope for a better world! Thank you Sir Bob for doing what you can and to the BBC for supporting him.... MAKE POVERTY HISTORY!

Disgusted - Perthshire
Personally I will be getting ready for the hordes of people who are coming to disrupt our lives since we live near Gleneagles shame non of this gets any mention anywhere

Amanda Baines, St Austell Cornwall
We are having an open house with food, drink and of course plenty of music!! No doubt we will be able to hear the music from The Eden Project in our garden

Lisa Dixon, Worksop, Notts
I couldn't believe it when I received a message on the wednesday morning, I was jumping around my office very excited. Its my birthday on the 29th June, so we are going to London for the weekend. I am a huge Robbie fan and can't wait to see him. Thanks to Sir Bob Geldof for making this event possible and for the millions of people who support him. What a great day this will be and thanks again for sending me to it.

S Frew, Sydney, Australia
Unfortunately, I won't be doing anything as Live8 is only being broadcast live on pay television in Australia. I'm devastated that the majority of Australians have been excluded from watching (and supporting) this amazing, historic event.

Laurinda Harrington West Clandon, Surrey
I ahve to work until 4pm. I will then fast track it from Godalming Surrey to Hyde Park as I have been one of the lucky ones to have won a ticket. I hope I don't get there too late as my colleagues will never hear the last if I miss Robbie or Bono.

Lucy, York
My boyfriend won a pair of tickets and we're making a weekend of it down in london. I am so excited i can't explain. It's going to be an experience that i'll never forget. Can't wait to see The Killers, U2, Razorlight and Muse.

Cameron Hunter, Atlanta, United States
I can't wait, we are coming with barely anything. We've spent everything making this trip happen from the US (Atlanta), but we realize that this will probably be the biggest event of our lifetime. Besides, the only thing more powerful than the lineup is the purpose behind the whole event. Everyone enjoy.

Louise, Lancaster
Like other people have said, I couldn't believe it when I turned on my phone and found out that I had won tickets! I am sooo excited! It makes it all the more special for me as I'm a huge supporter of the Make Poverty History campaign and have been promoting the work by the charity on my partners website where the views for the posts are in the hundreds. I feel honoured that I'm going to be there, and so is my partner, making our stand against poverty and listening to some of the worlds greatest artists! Thanks Sir Bob - you truly deserve that title! The hotel is booked, the train is booked, tickets are on the way - its gonna be a long journey from the north-west, but so worth it! We both can't wait! See you there!

Paula, Liverpool
I was so surprised to win a pair of tickets! What are the chances!?! I'm going down to London with my boyfriend to make a weekend of it. The line-up is incredible, such a variety of long-standing and current day artists. This is going to be the most amazing day ever! I can't wait!!!

Laura, London
It will be my 18th birthday on the day of Live 8, what a day to remember

Sara, Oxton
I was in work when I won the tickets. I was jumping up and down and screaming. I am 19 years old and was not born when Live Aid took place in 1985 but I cannot wait to be part of this one. I feel like Charlie with the Golden Ticket from Willy Wonka!

Grant Flynn, Rhyl, North Wales
Just could not believe it when my mobile bleeped and it was the confirmation number, I walked into my partners work place and told her the news, she broke down in tears of excitment, and told me that this is her 1st concert she has ever been to. Thanks very much Sir Bob for making us a part of History, cant wait to see the Who.

Sarah, Billingham UK
My partner had won the tickets for us last week, we still cannot believe it! The atmosphere on the day will be electric, no-one there will feel like a stranger, for just them 6 hours. Thanks to everyone who has made this possible. It will be a real achievement.

Simon, Belfast
I'm having a all day house party and BBQ, hooking up a stomping sound system to get the whole street bouncing!

Natalie, Portsmouth
I can't believe that I won a pair of tickets!!! Am soooo excited!!!!!! I was gutted a few months ago because I couldn't afford tickets for Elton or U2 but I'm gonna get to see them now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wish that George Michael would play the game! Seeing him there would make my life! Anyway, we're gonna crash at a friends house on Friday night and make our way to Hyde Park quite early to soak up the atmos! :o)

Tam Donnelly, Cheadle, Cheshire
It's very kind of Sir Bob to organise a wee gig for my birthday. I remember what a fantastic day it was 20 years ago, this time we will have friends and family together to celibrate my 42nd and to soak up the days events. Can't wait.

Steve Connor, Darlington
I'll be in Hyde Park with my binoculars.

Destiny Grosvenor Portsmouth Hampshire
My name is Destiny & I am 16, I am looking forward to this so much. Think Scissor Sisters will be a good modern day act to watch along with Robbie. But especially for someone my age to be able to witness great acts such as The Who, Pink Floyd, Sir Paul McCartney etc, will be awsom. Also taking time out reflect what we will all be gathering there for. Being part of history in the making

Frances,Northants
I'm going the atmosphere's going to be amazing a truly once in a life time experience. A dream for a huge music fan and a feeling of being part of history!
