I have to declare a bit of a personal interest in The Spinto Band. I first came across them two years ago in New Jersdey while on a trip to New York with a friend. She brought back an EP, and we've been watching their progress ever since.
The Spinto Band are so in demand, the punters are crowded 20-deep outside the tent, peering in to try and get a look. It's fairly generic stuff, with a very Beatles-esque feel (even down to the John Lennon-like head wiggles), but they have some beautiful melodies, and we get a set chock-full of good, down to earth, honest pop songs. And the audience loves it. I suspect that The Spinto Band may have already outgrown the Carling Tent. Let's see them on a bigger stage next year!
