In Spring 2009, Wilder came together, four 19-year-olds in a damp Bristol rehearsal room. Frantic electrifying house parties around Bristol followed into the summer or 2009. Word spread, as it does, and people came. Some of them were from record labels. The band booked into a cheap studio and recorded 4 life-affirming demos in a day. In December 2009, they signed with Rough Trade Records. Since then they’ve supported Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas on his recent Christmas 09 UK tour and recently played with the Maccabees and I Blame Coco. Expect unique lyrical hooks, devious electro melodies, cut ‘n’ shut guitars and angular nu-wave, twitchy synths.
