Hotly-tipped Leeds quartet
Sketches' expansive sound, complex rhythms and soaring falsetto vocals have seen them compared to the likes of Wild Beasts and The Temper Trap. 2010 has been festival-tastic for the Leeds four-piece so far, with appearances as The Great Escape, Live At Leeds, Camden Crawl, Dot To Dot and Y-Not already under their belt. In their own words, they make "widescreen, melodramatic pop that is equal parts twitchy, tetchy and tense - like a triple espresso caffeine-rush at a funeral". Enough said.
