London new wave pop band NYPC returned with a brighter new album, aptly titled The Optimist this year, the follow up to their 2007 debut Fantastic Playroom. Leading with the infectious single We Want To, the neon shine is still evident in their sound, buoyed by a heavier helping of pop nous.
With the charismatic Tahita Bulmer out front on vocals, New Young Pony Club continue their summer festival circuit to play the NME/Radio 1 stage at Reading and Leeds festivals. Expect an exciting return with lush harmonies and a beat you can dance to.
