Following on from lively sets at Radio 1's Big Weekend, Glastonbury and Latitude where they headlined the Huw Stephens curated Lake Stage, Sunderland indie pop band Frankie & The Heartstrings continue their festival run with appearances at Reading and Leeds.
Priding themselves on showmanship, the dynamic North-east five piece influenced by the likes of Dexys Midnight Runners and Billy Childish, have been hailed as one of the best new live bands around. Check out front man Frankie Francis' impressive quiff in addition to his command of the stage when they open proceedings in the NME/Radio 1 tent.
