Born in 2009, the Leeds band have drawn on personal experiences to create something unworldly and unique, with lyrics focussing on a whirlwind of misdirection and lack of focus. Brooding with a dark undercurrent and daunting rhythms, Club Smith's music contains a deep swell of optimism, bringing an urgency that feels positive and celebratory. In 2010, the band released two EPs, receiving airplay from Radio 1, 6 Music, Absolute and BBC Introducing in Yorkshire and Norwich, as well as a heap of positive reviews online. The response to the EPs was felt as far as Germany, where Club Smith will tour later in 2010.
