BBC Introducing has hosted a stage at Glastonbury every year since 2007. This year we were back with a line-up packed full of fresh talent, having been chosen by our network of BBC Introducing presenters and producers in partnership with the Glastonbury Festival organisers. Our surprise special guests were Gruff Rhys and our old friends Stornoway, fresh from their much-deserved opener slot on the Pyramid Stage.
This year our headliners were acts that BBC Introducing supported from the early days, who are now taking their craft to the next level. On the Friday evening, Suffolk's Ed Sheeran attracted probably the biggest crowd the BBC Introducing tent has ever seen and delivered a memorable solo set with just his voice, a guitar and a loop pedal. On Saturday, The Good Natured put in a polished performance, despite singer Sarah having her foot in plaster (are you watching, Jessie J? No throne here!). Wrapping things up on the Sunday were brilliant Leeds post-rockers Vessels, who an immense, visceral set. It was a vintage year. See you in 2013!
