Elbow show just how much they've grown with an epic show at the Academy.  An impressive return to form from James, who continue to craft their understated, uplifting rock.  The Courteeners' debut isn't "the newest idea on the block" but neither is it "a total write-off".  The Icelandic queen of leftfield pop brings her colourful show and fine tunes to the Apollo.  Tom Delonge's four piece are outplayed and outperformed by support act You Me At Six at the Academy.  The Bristol trip-hoppers make a magical return and prove themselves to stil be special at the Apollo  It's an understated show of utter brillance from the Swedish guitar hero at the Opera House.  Barry Adamson's cinematic sound comes with a twist of jazz and easy listening for his new album.  The multi-cultural gypsy punks produce a mish-mash of cartoon fun and fine tunes at Academy 1.
